Request reason:

ABET is a not-for-profit organization that accredits collegiate programs. This account was created by someone who is no longer with the organization so editing mistakes that were made will not be made again. Also, a request for a username change has been made to fit within the Wikipedia guidelines. The name of the organization is ABET, not ABET,Inc. Also, there are a finite number of editors that will be able to make changes so violations will not be made. Edits will NOT be used for promotional purposes, commmercial activity, advertising, etc. It is purely for informational purposes about the history of ABET, and facts about accreditation and the process by which to achieve it. We seek only to keep the information already posted accurate and up-to date. The rules of use are clearly understood and will be adhered to.

Our username violates Wikipedia guidelines and I would like to have that corrected so that further edits will fit within guidelines.Thank you.

At Wikipedia, we all avoid writing about ourselves or our own organizations. If I understand you correctly, you only want to write about your organization. Since we don't do that, and you don't seem to want to do anything else, you don't have a need for an active Wikipedia account at this time. However, if you, the private individual typing the request, ever get excited about using your free time to volunteer to help write an encyclopedia, writing, not about your organization, but about subjects that you aren't directly connected with, please feel free to ask again or create a personal account from home.
