Notes
[edit]1. We suggest a new section in the main entry “Scientific Support for the Atkins Nutritional Approach” as a foil to the “Controversies” section as several prominent scientists have used the Atkins Diet for a wide variety of illnesses. Some examples include:
a. Low-Carbohydrate Diets and the Brain - Eric H. W. Kossoff, M.D., Assistant Professor, Neurology and Pediatrics Medical Director, Ketogenic Diet Center Director, Pediatric Neurology Residency Program Johns Hopkins Hospital.[1] ADavidoff (talk) 22:42, 12 November 2009 (UTC)

[edit]Hi,
Thanks for your note.
I understand that you are trying to be careful to follow the rules but be aware that, because you have a clear agenda, anybody you contact potentially becomes somewhat tainted. And obviously the more specific your requests of them the more they are perceived as tainted. No criticism implied. I am simply pointing out the way things work.
In any event I will look over your information, at minimum for curiosity's sake, and maybe if I find renewed interest in the topic I will see what makes sense for me to contribute.

- P.S. For what it is worth I had abandonded low-carb topics a while back. As you can imagine there are various people with an ax to grind regarding these diets. I actually had compiled a relatively extensive list article containing research publications on the subject which a band of editors subsequently got removed fraudulently. After that point I was kind of fed up. --Mcorazao (talk) 21:28, 16 December 2009 (UTC)
