A tag has been placed on AVerMedia, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. -SpuriousQ (talk) 07:48, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please note that the username policy also forbids using a name that matches a company, unless you verifiably represent that company. I encourage you to request a username change, or alternatively, since you have few edits, simply create a new account to use instead. Thanks. -SpuriousQ (talk) 07:50, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles that you have created yourself, as you did with AVerMedia. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page (please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag) and make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. -SpuriousQ (talk) 07:51, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there

[edit]

I've removed the speedy tag, because I don't like seeing content go and I'm hoping that the article can be made more encyclopedic - as it seems to meet notability guidelines... but for future reference, I would recommend reading WP:MOS and WP:NPOV. Thanks, EMP 07:19, 16 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
