The article Seascraper has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article fails WP:CRYSTAL - none exist or are in actual planning and therefore no reliable sources exist to verify article content

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. I have nominated Seascraper, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Seascraper. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. NickContact/Contribs 04:28, 13 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. While I appreciate your reasoning behind removing the PROD tag from the article, I still do not believe that it meets Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, so I've taken the article to AfD. Please make any and all comments you have regarding why the article should be kept at the discussion page linked above. Thanks again, NickContact/Contribs 04:30, 13 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I recently learned of this concept of seascrapers (otherwise known as waterscrapers) and propose this important and potentially revolutionary concept remain a part of Wikipedia. The notion that these are merely conceptual and therefore unable to be validated does not differentiate them from ideas such as utopia, heaven, or extraterrestrial life. While the number of references in support of a topic should not substantiate its existence, it appears that there are thousands of online references to this topic.
