Your copyedits

[edit]

Copyediting is very precise work on Wikipedia, and editors must be very skilled in English grammar and sentence structure. You have been making a number of questionable copyedits, and I would suggest you explore other areas of Wikipedia before pursuing such a precise form of editing. Thanks for your understanding. At Manchester Memorial Hospital, you added "the" to the following sentence: "Manchester Memorial Hospital is a 249-bed community hospital located in the central Manchester, Connecticut, an eastern Connecticut community about 10 minutes east of Hartford. Could you please explain this edit? Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 14:33, 16 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Magnolia 677,
keeping in view that it refers to a county name. Therefore, I added the with this.
If you have an explanation. kindly share one. Above average colossus (talk) 05:55, 17 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
There is no such place as "the central Manchester, Connecticut". Your edit is incorrect. Magnolia677 (talk) 14:06, 17 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I have a few questions about your most recent edits:

  • With this edit at Auckland Colvin, you changed "his work as Egyptian correspondent of the Pall Mall Gazette", to "his work as an Egyptian correspondent of the Pall Mall Gazette". By adding "an", you imply there may have been more than one Egyptian correspondents. Could you please explain why you added this word? Were there more than one, and could you provide a source to support this? Also, you changed "first as financial member of council", to "first as a financial member of the council". Was there more than one financial member?
  • Also, with this edit you changed "autumn 1997" to "the autumn 1997". Did you mean "the autumn of 1997"?
  • Also, with this edit you changed "comedy drama" which links to the article comedy drama, to "comedy-drama", which still links to the article comedy drama? Is there something at MOS:L that supports this change? Magnolia677 (talk) 14:22, 17 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
