Proposed deletion of Gregory Hepburn

[edit]

The article Gregory Hepburn has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not obviously notable actor whose only film roles are in not obviously notable films.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.--Robin Thayler (talk) 05:50, 14 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The particular criteria for notability for actors are listed here: WP:Notability (people)#Entertainers. To demonstrate notability you'd need to provide citations from WP:Reliable sources demonstrating significant media coverage of his roles or films. Unfortunately, neither of the films included in the article has a Wikipedia page of their own, so if you wish to use those as evidence of Gregory's notability you'd need to shore up their notability as well. Additionally, your username suggests that you yourself are either Gregory or someone closely related to him, which raises issues of WP:Conflict of Interest in particularly Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#Writing about yourself and your work. --Robin Thayler (talk) 05:50, 14 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
