Your clear explanation of the the 3-revert rule was greatly appreciated. I am making every effort to come to amicable terms with the editor who seemed, at first, to be "at war" with me. We are gradually reaching compromises, and I feel confident the issue will be resolved. (I always try to work in harmony with other editors, albeit some are a challenge!) - Hello again!
- I could have "lived with the fact" that User:Dicklyon removed my contribution 3 times, without discussion. Since attempts at constructive discussion proved futile, I simply "moved on" to work on other articles.
- However, I notice now, that at the "Mathematical coincidence" article, User:Dicklyon has since restored the information, "in his own words". I am not the only editor who has been victimised by his hasty and repeated deletions. But I wonder how often this sort of thing occurs at Wikipedia (complete deletion of someone else's contribution, only to later restore the information in one's own words). It seems to me that discussion should precede deletion. Maybe I should just "toughen up" to this sort of thing!
- By the way, although I've had disagreements with other editors from time to time, NEVER have I experienced repeated deletion without explanation. (I strive to work harmoniously with other editors.)
- Perhaps I am learning about the "dark side" of Wikipedia, of which I had previously only heard "stories".
