On external links
[edit]Hi! Welcome to Wikipedia! Right now, you're presenting the appearance of someone who has only joined Wikipedia to add links to a specific web site. That could be a problem, because Wikipedia's spam guidelines don't permit us to promote any web site, no matter how good it is. I'd suggest that, if you're interested in making the encyclopedia better, you choose an article and improve its contents, citing the best available sources for the information you add. That way, you can help the encyclopedia, and no one will mistake you for a spammer. If this is your own web site, you should know that under the conflict of interest guidelines, we all avoid linking to our own web sites- but don't worry; if your site really is the best, most reliable source of information available, then it's inevitable that other users will cite it when they use it as a source of information in articles. Thanks! -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 16:02, 21 May 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Heaven Is Whenever. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 16:07, 21 May 2010 (UTC)
Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Survival Story. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia.
