Welcome
[edit]Welcome Alexpinna, I noticed you were working on the Smirnoff article. When you are playing around with an edit the best thing to do is use the 'Show Preview' button. It means you can ensure you are happy with something before you commit it. Otherwise the page history gets a bit difficult to follow. Enjoy the wiki! Any questions, you can get me on my talk page. - No worries! As they say here.... I've just nicked someone elses welcome message to get you a few links. Most times an old hand will give you a start like this, I'm not here that long myself so I haven't created one of these yet - but I must sort something like that out... For me to do that I just typed {{subst:User:Meelar/wel}} onto your page and the server substitutes the welcome message below:

Hello Alexpinna and welcome to Wikipedia! Hope you like it here, and stick around.
Here are some tips to help you get started:
- To sign your posts (on talk pages, for example) use the '~' symbol. To insert just your name, type ~~~ (3 tildes), or, to insert your name and timestamp, use ~~~~ (4 tildes).
- Try the Tutorial, and feel free to experiment in the test area.
- If you need help, post a question at the Help Desk
- Follow the Wikipedia:Simplified Ruleset
- Eventually, you might want to read the Manual of Style and Policies and Guidelines.
- Remember Wikipedia:Neutral point of view
- Explore, be bold in editing pages, and, most importantly, have fun!
Good luck!

Proposed deletion of Thomas Lynch (poet)
[edit]A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Thomas Lynch (poet), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? -- Kevin (talk) 21:54, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
