Dyirbal language denti-alveolar and retroflex consonants

[edit]

Hello Allbiota, Which source did you use that explained that there were no denti-alveolar and retroflex consonants in the Dyirbal language? Dixon (1972) explains that they are present in the language. Fdom5997 (talk) 00:24, 5 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, my edit was somewhat inaccurate. Dental consonants are absent, and retroflex stops are indeed present. However, Dixon (1972) does explain that the retroflex approximant is present. I've updated the page to reflect this. Thanks for letting me know about my error! Allbiota (talk) 13:16, 5 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
