Welcome!

Welcome to Wikipedia, Alphalife! My name is Ryan, aka Acetic Acid. I noticed that you were new and haven't received any messages yet. I just wanted to see how you were doing. Wikipedia can be a little intimidating at first, since it uses different formatting than other sites that use HTML and CSS. In the long run, though, you'll find that the WikiSyntax is a lot easier and faster than those other ways. Here are a few links to get you started:

There are a lot of policies and guides to read, but I highly recommend reading over those first. If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Please be sure to sign your name on Talk Pages using four tildes (~~~~) to produce your name and the current date, along with a link to your user page. This way, others know when you left a message and how to find you. It's easier than having to type out your name, right? :)

I hope you enjoy contributing to Wikipedia. We can use all the help we can get! Have a nice day. Sincerely, Ryan 06:09, August 5, 2005 (UTC)

Love the Wiki, and the Wiki loves you back. O_O Yeah, you're welcome. :P Ryan 06:15, August 5, 2005 (UTC)
In addition to the joy that comes from making useful contributions, there are several game-related activites to do here.

If you go to the Sandbox, there are some games you came play, listed on the right. There is also Wikifun, a scavenger hunt-like game, and Mind Benders, a list of brain teasers. Ryan 06:52, August 5, 2005 (UTC) Enjoy! :)

Hi Nick,

The MAX stations are now done!!

[edit]
Hi Nick!
Yup, found Overlook Park omitted. The Portland Transit Mall is also missing... Perhaps we should add it?
May move on to clean up the Vancouver SkyTrain next... Still haven't got thru all the Portland stuff yet.
Added Mt. Hood Freeway and been cleaning up some other stuff... Sent you an email, haven't heard back...

Hey, I added the Portland Transit Mall page, just FYI. :) JordanRL 06:32, 2 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Question, Sir?

[edit]

You can put the {{PD}} template on the image's page to tag it as a public domain picture. Acetic'Acid 19:55, 24 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedians in Oregon category

[edit]

What's up? We need to really get that Portland Transit Mall thing started... Been busy adding a ton of stuff, mostly architectural things. I found out how to make Templates!!! Sorry I'm so bad at answering email and that stuff..

Cacophony informed me that there's a category for Oregon Wikipedians. You may want to add your user page to it. It is here: Category:Wikipedians in Oregon.

See ya round..

Wikiproject Oregon

[edit]

Wikiproject oregon is now up and running! I invite you to join at WP:WPOR

Thanks for being a part of Wikipedia:WikiProject Oregon. Our first article we'll be improving to FAC status is, oddly enough, Oregon! Please visit Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Oregon to discuss the contributions you can make to improve Oregon to a FAC level article. the iBook of the Revolution 04:48, 15 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Metrication controversy

[edit]

Hehe, well the text was written in a burst of frustration, so it's not as serious and argued as I would wanted it to be. Luckily the article is now in a lot better shape and the most dubious childish claims have been cleared out :-) --piksi (talk) 21:34, 16 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
