Disambiguation link notification for December 31[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Citoyen-class ship of the line, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Brest (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 11:03, 31 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Citoyen Class ships of the line[edit]

I have made some corrections and additions to the above article (and also to the French ship Citoyen (1764) article). Please note the difference between tonnage as quoted in various publications (including my own) and displacement. These 4 ships each displaced about 3,000 tons (use of the word tonnes is inappropriate in a pre-metric entry) but their "port" tonnage (very roughly equivalent to the "burthen" tonnage for British ships) was only 1,500 tons.
