Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Greymouth beach.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 11:29, 23 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Beach image

[edit]

Hello Antsp. I hope you won't feel too bad about this, but I have removed your image from the Greymouth article again.

The article already has a beach image, and neither of the two shows Greymouth at all! As this is an encyclopedia, we need to ensure that the text, not the images remain dominant. However, I really liked the image, and have transferred it to Wikipedia Commons, where it can be accessed and used by others (note that I rotated and cropped the image slightly as well, because the horizon was not level). You can see it here: [1]

As noted, since I really like the image, I have added it to another article instead, which was not yet overloaded with images, namely Tourism in New Zealand.Ingolfson 00:17, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Whooops, I did not realise you already HAD uploaded it to Commons. Would you mind having the image that still shows the skewed horizon deleted (because its basically just a duplicate of the corrected version)? I won't do so unless you are okay with it. Cheers.
