A personal message

Hello Anapam,

I am sorry for the frustration you must be feeling with Wikipedia. You have probably confused us with social networking sites like Facebook or MySpace, that allow people to write most anything they want. Wikipedia is not like that: We are an encyclopedia, and we accept only articles about subjects that are “notable” by our standards. This means subjects that have received significant coverage from multiple independent reliable sources.

So for example The Da Vinci Code is eligible for an article: To see why look at all the citations to reliable source in its References section. But your novel is not eligible, for reliable sources have not given it significant coverage. You were probably hoping that an article in Wikipedia would help publicize your novel.
