You can find a list of other useful links and tools for patrollers at Wikipedia:New pages patrol/Resources. If you are ever unsure what to do, ask your fellow patrollers or just leave the page for someone else to review – you're not alone! —Ganesha811 (talk) 19:44, 10 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Eliano Reijnders & Mees Hilgers

[edit]

Hi Anwegmann. Is there any reason why you have to revert edits of both Eliano Reijnders & Mees Hilgers? Yes both are Dutch, but they're no longer because they change citizenship to Indonesia which is fact, and there's source in their wiki as well. The people who change their Nationality did not do wrong as it's to update, and they're not vandalize. Or is it better to say both are Indonesian Dutch. Thank you. Thfeeder (talk) 00:37, 3 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. Because they go against long-established WP:FOOTY standards concerning nationality. Neither player has ever played for Indonesia, and both have played for the Netherlands. So until they actually play for Indonesia, the lede must remain as "...is a Dutch professional footballer..." Once they have played for Indonesia, it will become ambiguous: "...is a professional footballer." Anwegmann (talk) 09:52, 3 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Nationality of Zainichi Korean footballers

[edit]

Hello Anwegmann,

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia, especially your work on formatting and fixing articles to the correct guidelines. I noticed your recent edits to on some Zainichi Koreans footballers page such as Park Il-gyu, Han Ho-gang or Kim Jung-ya where you were referred to as "Japanese" based on their birthplace. While Zainichi Koreans may born and reside in Japan, most do not hold Japanese nationality and are not qualified for it unless one of their parents is Japanese 1; 2. For this reason, I think you should revert your edits back to their Korean nationality.

Best regards, Lâm (talk) 17:14, 20 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
