Reversion

As you can see, your changes at Cognitive remediation therapy have been reverted. Per WP:BRD, you'll now have to discuss the changes you want to make. In this case, the issue is adherence to our source requirements for medical topics. Hopefully other editors will be able to pitch in to provide a third opinion. Let me know if you have any questions. When I spoke to your class I discussed sourcing only generally as I assumed most of what you'd be writing would be esoteric psychology stuff. Articles that discuss anything the general public might read as medical advice has to comply to WP:MEDRS. That's the issue you need to address. This is why I SPECIFICALLY said not to work in a sandbox and then paste in a bunch of text because this is what happens. Had you been making incremental changes MEDRS would have been brought up weeks ago.

(edit conflict) It's in the guideline: "it is vital that the biomedical information in all types of articles be based on reliable, third-party, published secondary sources and accurately reflect current medical knowledge". It's anything across the board. When previous psychology classes have edited it's been about concepts like disconfirmed expectancy or biographical subjects like Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi. In your case, you're discussing a therapy and readers of Wikipedia might be making decisions before seeing a doctor based on what you write. We have evidence that doctors themselves may be looking at your article to figure out how to do their job.

You really need to read MEDRS top to bottom. I didn't revert you initially because my degree is in history and the sources you added are scholarly; it all looked fine to me. Now you'll have to interact with the Wikipedia community. I'm sure you'd've preferred this happened back in October, as would I.

{{Cite journal}} has a parameter for PMID. In the coding, add |pmid= with the id following the equal sign. Chris Troutman (talk) 04:36, 30 November 2014 (UTC)

Thanks Chris! I'll look more closely at both those sources - I did initially review MEDRS but I didn't consider this to be a "biomedical" issue. It's basically just games on a computer that a person cannot engage in on their own, but I guess since it was flagged as being under the medical realm it's unavoidable.Arielschvarcz (talk) 04:42, 30 November 2014 (UTC)

Hi Chris, sorry to bother you again, but it seems like every change I attempt to make is reverted by the editor, even when those changes were requested by them; it seems like a very strong move to constantly be making for little things. Other than editing more in-line, is there anything you can suggest to help me approach this better? I would hate for my wikipedia-editing ignorance to be causing anyone more work or frustration for anyone, myself included.
