It goes against the manual of style, and I've never seen any capital letters in brackets in FAs (or on wikipedia at all). -- Scorpion0422 21:06, 26 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

fictional characters

[edit]

Note that your recent edits contravene the examples set out at Wikipedia:Manual of Style (writing about fiction) and will likely be reverted. The perhaps overly obvious first line of many fictional biographies is a reaction to many editors in fictional topics writing from a "in-universe" perspective of fictional topics, causing much confusion among readers, especially those who have never heard of the TV show, comic book, movie, etc in question, who can't figure out if the topic is real or fictional. - BanyanTree 06:16, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Since there could be / are real-life replications of characters on The Simpsons and comic books, "fictional" is not necessarily redundant. I probably wouldn't bother adding it if it weren't already there. TONY (talk) 06:33, 29 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
