I have seen your concerns about the additions to the article, so I thought I might be able to help. You specifically asked in your edit summary about policies that supported inclusion of the contested information. The general policy on biographies of living persons has three core tenets concerning neutrality, verifiability, and original research. Taking these in reverse order, the proposed addition did not depend on original research, so that isn't a concern. The proposed addition also had a citation to an article in the Los Angeles Times, so it is verifiable. The first tenet, requiring a neutral point of view, is possibly a problem. It is not so much the single sentence being added or reverted that I think is troubling, but the effect given once that sentence is added to the pre-existing material. The effect was to give too much space to PED topics in the discussion of Wolf's career. I have therefore placed a reformulation of this information on the talk page of this article that is more concise and reduces the weight given to PED topics. I invite you to give your thoughts about this proposed change there.

Thank you, and once again, a belated welcome. --Eggishorn (talk) (contrib) 17:56, 11 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I have edited Augie Wolf as discussed on teh talk page to reduce the prominence of PED issues. --Eggishorn (talk) (contrib) 18:45, 16 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello

[edit]

I see the recent edit. The first thing I should state is that I attended Princeton and on occasion sat with Geoff and Sean at Butler Dining Hall (Sean was dating a lass from my high school). So we never met, but we are once removed acquaintances. That being said, I don't edit WP with favoritism. I am going to check into some policies including WP:BLP and WP:TRUTH and do my best to resolve this situation. P.S. you can email me directly with the "Email this user" button on my talk page.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 13:53, 21 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You would be well advised to comment or at least take note of discussions at Talk:Augie Wolf#Content removal discussion and WP:BLPN. I am going to attempt to email you as well.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 14:14, 21 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
