[edit]You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If the edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. ElKevbo (talk) 20:15, 10 June 2010 (UTC)

Friendly welcome and advice
[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. I noticed that you have encountered some difficulties in starting to edit here—namely on the article for Brigham Young University. There are a number of policies that govern editing here, and I know how overwhelming it can be to learn them all.
The Wikipedia Tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. The following links will also help you begin editing on Wikipedia:
As you familiarize yourself with these policies, I would encourage you to have patience and work with editors on article talk pages. Editors are encouraged to be bold; however, when a dispute arises, it behooves the editors to reach consensus on the talk page. With regards to the BYU article, the preliminary consensus on the talk page is that the text you have added does not comply with Wikipedia policy. Therefore, I have reverted the article to its previous state. If you continue to defy the community, you will be blocked.
If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump, or ask me on my talk page. Thank you in advance for your consideration, and again, welcome! —Eustress talk 00:12, 11 June 2010 (UTC)
