Note

[edit]

Hi Tripping Nambiar, First Stop your bloody editings... You are reincarnation of ...? or Son of....?. Why dont you go to hell? They require people like you. someone has created WP Ravi_Verma_V, I think the author is ignorant of naming convention of Kshatriyas n named it Verma instead of Varma. n has been making changes in Verma WP which is meant for other communities. I hope u hav more knowledge on the particular ruler Raja Ravi Varma V, Request you to rectify the mistake n explain the author on the same. Thnx Indianprithvi (talk) 10:16, 22 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

User:Absad

[edit]

Dear Tripping Nambiar, a few months ago you claimed User:Absad copied sections from your userpage. If you have any information on who is behind User:Absad, it would be gratefully appreciated. See Wikipedia:Suspected_sock_puppets#User:Absad. A-Kartoffel (talk) 01:53, 24 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You have been told several times that if you wish to make a large edit, it must be discussed on the talk page and consensus must be reached. There is no consensus on the talk page for removing the section you want to remove.

In addition, you had agreed to stop editing until the rewrite was completed. I will be forced to report you for edit-warring unless you stop. Prince of Canada t | c 07:26, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please note that I didn't threaten to block you, as I am not an admin. I said that I will report you if your edit-warring continues. What happens at that point is up to admins. Whether or not you believe the material is POV, it has been explained to you that there is no consensus for removing it. If you want the material removed, you have to achieve consensus on the talk page. Period. That's how it works. Further, you agreed to stop editing until the rewrite was completed, didn't you? So you shouldn't have been editing anyway.
However, please note that the page is fully protected again until this dispute is completely resolved. I suggest that before you edit any further, you read the following links: WP:CONSENSUS, WP:NPOV, WP:BRD, WP:EDITWAR, WP:CIVIL and WP:ASSUME GOOD FAITH. They are all policies and guidelines that you are required to abide by if you wish to keep the privilege of editing Wikipedia.
I hope that is crystal clear. Prince of Canada t | c 07:48, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It is unfortunate that you are not looking at the 'anti-India' pages these days. 116.68.97.113 (talk) 18:59, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ahmed Deedat

[edit]

I have blocked User:72.81.208.215 for edit warring. However, please take some time to review his version before reverting it out of hand. Without getting into the merits of the content, there are some ways in which his version is technically preferable. It may be time to ask for help at dispute resolution, rather than continuing the revert war. If you think it is a banned user, you should start a request for CheckUser. If the main problem is in the content itself, please discuss it; I see a lot of reverts by you on the article, but not a single comment on the talk page. Kafziel Complaint Department 08:51, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I edited your reversion of Ahmed Deedat. Please take a look if I made some good revisions.Jeff5102 (talk) 09:26, 14 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding the removal of this from Arundhati Roy, the Balbir Punj article is mirrored here[1].Goingoveredge (talk) 01:29, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Cheers, will act on it. Trips (talk) 09:43, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Could you look into this user? He's putting up scurrilous racist biases in highly viewed wikipedia articles specifically targeting Indians.

Caste system

[edit]

Please stop reverting information from the caste system in India page. It is not irrelevant information any more. I have looked over the contributions made and do not believe they should be reverted. You are starting to turn it into a long drawn out edit war. Undead Warrior (talk) 12:48, 30 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Accusation of sock puppet

[edit]

Please see [5]. Please be informed that one editor User:User:Tinucherian has accused you of being a sock-puppet.-Bharatveer (talk) 06:14, 16 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

savarna term is Right but the fact is that through out south indian peninsula savrnas does not mean brahmins and kshartyas. Infact Bramins and especially kshatriyas kings due to the dearth in their numerical strength uplifted some of the dominant sudra casts to touchable status inorder to make them available for the service of both brahmins and kshatriyas Nairs, Bunt communities of karnataka, reddy, khamma all comes under the category of uplifted Sudras. (See R.S sharmas works. Thought they were touchable they alos had to go through the evils of classical Varna system, Namboothiris and Kshatriya royals used nairs ;adies as their concubines, (sambandham)where the nair or namboothiry male had no responsibility for the kids born to this out of wed lock relations. then Nair it self was not a monolithic community. even today there are more than 100 subsection among Nairs, where some of them are given OBC status. Another fact to be noted is the right to cover Breast or the breast tax imposed by kshatrya kings upon lower casts hindus, Nairs were not given any exception to this rule. among hindus only kshatryas and the Brahmins had the right to cover their breast in public. this shows that Nairs are considered as Sudras though they had given savarna status. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.245.223.165 (talk) 12:18, 24 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If substantial concerns are not addressed during the review period, the article will be moved to the Featured Article Removal Candidates list for a further period, where editors may declare "Keep" or "Remove" the article's featured status. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
