Request reason:

Hi there. I am not blocked for doing anything wrong on Wikipedia, I am blocked because my IP address falls within the range of those who you have chosen to block. The reason it now does so is because I am using a VPN to protect myself from my government's new(ish) laws that require ISPs to collect and store their customers' online activity. I don't believe I have much of an edit history here as I don't edit very often, but as far as I recall I have not been disruptive or damaging to the community and certainly do not intend to be in future. Thank you for your consideration.

Decline reason:

Sorry, but Wikipedia does not allow editing via anonymizing proxies or VPNs. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 12:34, 30 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Hi! Question From a Journalist

[edit]

I'm doing a story for Gizmodo on how editors monitor pronoun changes on Wikipedia. I've noticed you've contributed to a few pages by contributing the correct pronouns for folks who transitioned later in life/were known by their dead names during their professional lives. I'd love to set up a chat if you're interested in speaking. My email is henry.giardina@gmail.com. Please feel free to reach out, and keep up the great work!
