Pastitsio
[edit]Maybe you don't understand my comment, so I repeat it: the same is valid for Turks, which are not only present in Turkey (Greece for example). Therefore, either you write "Turks and turkish cypriots", or "Turkey and north Cyprus". If you don't agree, please use the thread which I opened on the Talk page of Pastitsio. - @Alessandro57: Of all the hills one would choose to die on... I understood your point perfectly, but the logic of completely ignoring MY point just does not add up, though perhaps you just do not understand the situation in Cyprus. (Not that it should matter, but I am Turkish Cypriot, so I know what I'm talking about). Also, instead of going revert-crazy, you could have easily just, you know, made that edit yourself. Rather childish and deeply unimpressive behaviour on your part, really... Bambi'nin annesi (talk) 08:30, 20 June 2022 (UTC)
- Dear Bambi'nin annesi, first of all I know very well northern Cyprus, because I have been spending a month a year there for at least ten years. I have friends there, and know the situation. The Turkish population living in the south will be at most a thousand people, so it is negligible compared to those who live in the north. The story that the republic of Cyprus is based on two nationalities etc, you can maybe sell it to someone who has never been to Cyprus. The vast majority of Greeks would gladly send you to Turkey (or even further) instantly just if they could, and if you are a Turkish Cypriot you know that better than I do (unfortunately). Since we are talking about cooking here though, you should know that in cooking articles when you talk about a country you always imply the ethnic group of that country. So since Cypriot Turks have their own country (at least de facto), it is normal to talk about Northern Cyprus meaning the cuisine of that country, instead of starting with totally unnecessary distinctions and implying that they are homeless people. about the "childish", it is obvious that I prefer the second version, so I leave it to you to change the article (which will be changed again anyway by the first Turk or Turkish Cypriot who reads it). Cheers, Alex2006 (talk) 08:58, 20 June 2022 (UTC)
