A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Bamworks, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service, and which is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages: user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you can indicate why the page is not blatant advertising, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this: Click here to contest this speedy deletion which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to your user talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also edit this page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would help make it encyclopedic. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. | Uncle Milty | talk | 00:30, 25 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your username

[edit]

I appreciate your need to be creative with your username, but unfortunately, because Wikipedia accounts must be for individual users only, usernames that are the names of groups, companies or websites are not permitted.

One reason for that is that group or company accounts are almost invariably here to promote themselves. Wikipedia has to spend a great deal of time and effort fending off people who see it as a free advertising or PR platform, and is extremely resistant to attempts to use it for any kind of promotion. Even if "Bamworks" is only you, it sounds like a commercial website and as a username would cause you problems. That is why your user page immediately attracted speedy-deletion tags. As reviewing administrator, I have declined the second nomination because I think, if you change username, it is acceptable. See WP:User pages for advice on what is acceptable there.

Please think of a new username and apply to change it, which is easy: click on WP:Changing username, read to the bottom of that page, click on "Simple" and follow the instructions. Your username can be related to your real name or not, as you choose (see WP:REALNAME for some considerations). If you would like to use your real name, one way to "disambiguate" it is to add some digits at the end.

Hello, Grampy Louie. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Solano Alley Mural Project".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at WP:REFUND/G13. An administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. JMHamo (talk) 19:34, 30 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
