I have now completed my research and fully understand the philosphy of Wikipedia. I will create a user page. Also, how do I deal with the current article on Barry M. George (close in age) who dominates Wikipedia and the INternet for his conviction and succssful appeal as a MURDERER? Thanks ~Barry

I posted a speedy delete tag on the page you created about yourself. You may have been trying to create a user page, in which case simply move the content to your user page. Main space articles are reserved for topics that meet WP:NOTE it does not look as if you do. In any case we are discouraged from creating articles about ourselves even if we do meet notability requirements per WP:COI as it is considered a conflict of interest. If you have any questions feel free to ask them on my talk page. --Daniel J. Leivick 01:45, 8 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy delete tags form articles you create. I am sorry that you have been the target of harassment, unfortunately unless you meet the criteria laid out in WP:NOTE you cannot have a page in the main space. You can however make a user page. --Daniel J. Leivick 01:52, 8 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Barry M. George

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Barry M. George requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ←Signed:→Mr. E. Please do not recreate your autobiography, it is disruptive. The article you have been creating is highly non neutral and reads like an advertisement. Our guidelines on conflict of interest exist exactly for this reason. If you have any questions or need help editing, feel free to ask. --Leivick (talk) 19:45, 23 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I have made major changes to your autobiography in order to make it more encyclopedic. In doing so I have removed many of the details which are likely unverifiable. Please understand that this is not personal and I would be happy to work to improve the article in the future. --Leivick (talk) 20:06, 23 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Please do not revert without discussion. I understand that it may be difficult to remain neutral on this issue as you are the subject of the article, but I recommend that you allow neutral editors to improve the article. Keep in mind that no one owns articles on wikipedia. --Leivick (talk) 20:21, 23 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Barry M. George. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion. Thank you. KuyaBriBriTalk 20:57, 23 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Barry M. George

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Barry M. George, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
