Wikipedia

[edit]

I saw your message, and I encourage you not to quit so easily. I don't know if your impression goes beyond your disagreement with Alientraveller at Toy Story 3, but conflicts happen everyday on Wikipedia. There is a bit of a learning curve involved. For example, with that film article, a citation is not necessary. WP:LEADCITE says, "Because the lead will usually repeat information also in the body, editors should balance the desire to avoid redundant citations in the lead with the desire to aid readers in locating sources for challengeable material." The casting information was not challengeable, so a redundant citation was not truly needed. I highly encourage you to find a lightly trafficked article on which you can work (mine was The Fountain, way back at the beginning of my wiki-career) to learn the ropes. It may also help to read about the BRD cycle. —Erik (talkcontrib) 16:32, 10 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
