Regarding your addition of a ref to the reference section of opossum, do you know which facts in the article this reference supports? We try to avoid just using a blanket reference and prefer inline citations so that each fact is directly supported. - UtherSRG (talk) 12:32, 11 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, I'm removing the citation. First off, it's a blog post, and blogs are not generally considered reliable sources. Second, it's only about the Virginia opossum, so it isn't going to cover much, if anything, on the opossum article. - Take a look at the various explainer links that should help you figure out how to best contribute here. Cheers! -

Information icon Hello, I'm Donald Albury. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to Cetiosaurus have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. Donald Albury 12:32, 13 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add links to randomfunfactsonline to Wikipedia. It appears to be a (group) blog, and therefore is not acceptable as a source on Wikipedia per WP:USERGENERATED. - Donald Albury 12:57, 13 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did at Philippine eagle, you may be blocked from editing. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. — Ingenuity (talk • contribs) 13:17, 14 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you insert a spam link, as you did at Harpy eagle. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted, preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines. — Ingenuity (talk • contribs) 13:18, 14 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
