Request reason:

Beach Carolina Magazine is an organization that publishes news and events. As editor of the publication, there are a few very specific articles from time to time that have valuable details of note. Beachcarolina (talk) 14:12, 21 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

You are blocked because your chosen username is intrinsically promotional; to edit you will have to apply for a uername change - use {{unblock-un}}. you will not be able, if unblocked, to make promotional edits relating to your organisation, and will need to be aware of copyright policy.--Anthony Bradbury"talk" 15:26, 21 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

What username should I use in behalf of Beach Carolina Magazine as editor? 97.89.234.162 (talk) 16:02, 21 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Procedural decline - the unblock request template should not be used to pose questions. I have moved your question down to the bottom of the page so that the discussion can be followed chronologically. Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 19:17, 21 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only you. You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of what username you choose. If your username doesn't represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. Thank you. What username should I use in behalf of Beach Carolina Magazine as editor? 97.89.234.162 (talk) 16:02, 21 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
A few things:
  1. You must log in to your account in order to appeal your block on this account. The nature of your block allows you to create a new account without this block being lifted, however please note the following points first. Alternatively, you can use the {{unblock-un}} template to request a rename of this account; the points below still apply.
  2. You may select any username you like, provided it is not in use and subject to the conditions listed on this page. Most relevant to this situation is that the username should represent you only; it should not be in any way related to Beach Carolina Magazine, nor should your account ever be used by another person.
  3. Wikipedia is a neutral encyclopedia; your magazine has no special editorial authority on any articles relating to it. Please review the conflict of interest guidelines, and be aware that it is strongly recommended that you avoid editing articles closely related to your magazine. If problems arise, you may be formally restricted from doing so.
  4. If you intention here is to promote your magazine, then you will not be permitted to do so. Hersfold non-admin(t/a/c) 19:18, 21 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Hersfold has stated the requirements succinctly. I would emphasize that you are not allowed to edit here on behalf of your magazine, but only on behalf of yourself. Also, I note that your last unblock request was posted using an IP address; I appreciate that this was you, but please do not edit on this page without logging in.--Anthony Bradbury"talk" 21:16, 21 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
