Request reason:

I Could not change the mitchronson username, so I simply set up a new username - I was told that this is the only way to do this, and it is not possible to change a username. So why does that mean I can not use this username any more? Further, if I set up another one, then will you label it a sock pocket again? I am confused and concerned about this.

There is a way to change your username, you simply can't do so by yourself - a bureaucrat has to complete your change. You can request a username change at WP:CHU. This doesn't explain, however, why you have three accounts; if you were trying to change your username, it seems logical that you would have only two. ok - thanks for the useful tip. Who can I contact to change the original username to my new one. I don't have three username accounts, only two username accounts. If you are looking at IP addresses, I am on a network with around 50 users, so they may appear to have the same IP address as me. So, if someone can tell me how to sort out this mess once and for all, I am all ears. I certainly can undertake not to revisit any of the old pages I have already seen and edited, if that helps.

Request reason:

I don't know anything about that one - does it have the same IP address as mine?? If so, I can talk to people here and find out what is going on. I am honestly new to this Wikipedia thing ... so, I am still keen to clear up this mess. Can I set up a brand new username, without being labelled a pocketsock; or do I have to go back and use one of these two blocked usernames and get them changed and then wait for a few weeks? Still confused and finding this Wiki thing to be very closed to newbies.
