Someone with the same name created an account not quite 7 years ago and they too wished to simply use their name rather than some alternative. While the comparing of user names for similiarities is automated the assessment of activity level and potential for conflicts and confusion is still manual. It can be very frustrating but it also means it would be harder for someone else to impersonate you here on Wikipedia. As there is already an article here on an actor of the same name you might want to make use of Template:Distinguish either here or on your user page.
