Courant–Friedrichs–Lewy condition[edit]

Hello, and also a warm welcome from me. I have a question about the bit your added to Courant–Friedrichs–Lewy condition. I thought that the constant on the right-hand side of the CFL condition

depends on the particular discretization being used, specifically, on the stencil. Perhaps this is why you are talking about "pure advection schemes"; I don't know which advection schemes are pure. I'd be very grateful if you could clarify this. And if you could also add a source, that would be even better. Cheers, Jitse Niesen (talk) 04:43, 16 February 2007 (UTC)

Please consider merging your Trickling filter article with the Biological trickling filters (Biofilters)[edit]

Would you please give some thought to merging your Trickling filter article with the Biological trickling filters (Biofilters)? There really is no reason to have two articles covering the same subject ... and I see nothing to be gained by that.

I also think that the merged article should be named Trickling filter rather than the much more cumbersome Biological trickling filters (Biofilters). - mbeychok 20:27, 17 October 2007 (UTC)

Dear mbeychok, Feel free to rename & move material!

Hey there.

The Unholy alliance entry and the list of defunct states I believe are important, but you can transfer the Katanga entry if you deem it necessary.

The Republic of Benin was still a participant, the Infobox clearly says so, thusforth its governor was a commander, regardless of how long it fought.

Luftwaffe eagle[edit]

A conversation via reverts is not a good idea. It would have been better to leave a message rather than make another revert whilst asking the question! The reason being I'm putting a better image in - eagle with HK. The image in question is going to replace very shortly. Dapi89 (talk) 19:24, 5 September 2010 (UTC)

I went to your talk page, saw this: Dapi89 is very busy in real life and may not respond quickly and concluded that reversion may be quicker.

ArbCom elections are now open![edit]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
