Hi Bhadani!

Thanks for the message and a Happy Diwali to you too. I'll try to attend the techfest meet, but arranging a meet is difficult as I don't know other active Mumbai wikipedians. BTW, we are trying to form a Wikimedia India Chapter. Would you be interested in joining? Regards, =Nichalp «Talk»= 04:25, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I shall feel highly privileged to be actively associated with formation of Wikimedia India Chapter. --Bhadani (talk) 17:02, 7 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Reporting User:Rama's Arrow username and google search result

[edit]

I have already reported this on admin noticeboard. I don't want confrontation/bias on these Diwali days which mark Rama's return to Ayodhya. Following is text of my reporting on admin noticeboard. Thanks. abhih 12:27, 8 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Lord Rama is most devoted figure for one billion Indians and he is always depicted in deity or picture with bow and arrow. When a person enter keyword 'Rama's arrow' or 'Rama arrow', user page and talk page of User:Rama's Arrow appear in first 2 search results. On talk page of this user, there are pictures of some boxer. I am Indian and I think this is insulting for Lord Rama. Since the user has left wikipedia, please redirect his username and talk page to Rama And protect these pages. Thanks. abhih 10:26, 8 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, but I don't think the content of a (inactive) user's talk page should warrant a forced name change. -- lucasbfr talk 11:32, 8 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What about using name of Rama to puplicise own picture on Internet? Be it active or inactive, keywords on world's most powerful search engine leads to picture of boxer and irrelevent userpage. I have already complained that wikipedia is being used for advertisements, self-bio. And now to publicise own pictures. Be it that picture of the user or another boxer, it is still outragious. Will you people tolerate if keywords 'Jesus second coming' on google leads to pictures of boxer on wikipedia? I once again request you to redirect those pages to Rama. '"In fact those pages must be deleted. Thanks. abhih 12:27, 8 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

While I respect your sentiments, I don't find that it is a matter of concern. After the search results, all intelligent people will understand that they are viewing the page of Rama's Arrow's talk page, an editor of English Wikipedia, and the contents placed on the page by that user/editor; and they will understand that it has nothing to do with Rama. IMH opinion, there is nothing insulting to Rama in this case as the concept of Rama is over such worldly and physical things. --Bhadani (talk) 13:44, 8 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If your logic, rational is right then I just created 'Jesus's Second Coming' account. Let me see for how many seconds it remain active. As username 'Rama's Arrow' and even username 'Rama' has no problem for wikipedia admin, this 'Jesus's Second Coming' should not have any problem. If it stays active, then freeze this 'abhih' username. I will use new 'Jesus's Second Coming' account and post my picture, bio on userpage, talkpage. If your 'intelligent' theory is correct, then admins will allow me to use 'Jesus's Second Coming' account like 'Rama' and 'Rama's Arrow'.

Do you want see how irrational your argument is? Watch this... My both accounts will be blocked within next few minutes. They, you will give any reason like editing abuse, sockpuppet. It will prove blatant religious bias of wikipedia admins towards other religions. Watch out... Thanks. abhih 14:23, 8 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Did you see that block? Now will you please explain neutral attitude of wikipedia admins towards all religions and your 'intelligent' theory? Give me gift of Diwali by blocking this account also.

Celebrate return of Rama to Ayodhya with Bow and Arrow.

Happy Diwali!

I don't have any comment to offer, it is your choice and not mine. BTW, right now I am listening to this. Thanks & Regards. --Bhadani (talk) 15:02, 8 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I also suggest you not to delete genuine post's by other editors - that is vandalism. --Bhadani (talk) 15:26, 8 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I never deleted genuine or non-genuine post of other editor. If you are talking about WP:ANI Rama's Arrow section post, it was part of my own message I deleted and I explained reason in edit summary. I can't edit characters more than 5524. So I refrained from going again on WP:ANI. Thanks. abhih 19:24, 8 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

As Bhadani can attest to, myself and Rama's Arrow are not friends, probably the opposite. I will safely hazard that Hindus are too smart to be insulted by the usurpation of an inanimate object. In fact, if seeing Rama'a Arrow insults your religious faith, an introspection into what it means to be Hindu may be necessary.Bakaman 03:57, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nice to meet you, too!

Rendezvous with Marcus is just over. We spent around 6 hours in Pondicherry from around 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., and now he is on way to Madurai. He liked the place and the ethnic Tamil cuisine. We talked and talked, and walked and walked on the beach road of Pondicherry - he enjoyed the place and the beach. I am dedicating an image to him: [3]. I look forward to meet him again during his next visit to India. He is passionate about his work on wikipedia. --Bhadani (talk) 17:05, 2 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
