Hi Bkoetz, I reverted your edit to The Big Bang Theory as it wasn't encyclopedic content. We don't tell readers where to buy a product or stream a tv show.

July 2019[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Schazjmd. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions toSpongeBob Square Pants have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Please stop inserting links to fubotv in articles for individual shows. Schazjmd (talk) 21:15, 17 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure how the edits made to the SpongeBob SquarePants or Big Bang Theory posts were considered promotional as what was written was objective fact and was inserted for the purpose of informing people where they are able to consume this content they're looking up. If I provide links to Hulu, Sling etc. would it still be considered promotional content?

Yes, adding content about where to buy or view something isn't appropriate to an encyclopedia article. The station articles where you added fubotv as a streaming provider in the infobox with other streaming providers are appropriate edits. But in SpongeBob and TBBT (or any other specific program article), it's like advertising. Something can be "factual" but not be appropriate for the article. Thanks!
