May 2012[edit]

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Joseph Wheeler High School, you may be blocked from editing. A Personಠ_ಠ 01:52, 18 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Joseph Wheeler High School, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. A Personಠ_ಠ 01:55, 18 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for abuse of editing privileges. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I am sorry the reason I kept editing is because my friend and I were just having fun on our own high school page. We realize what we have done to receive these blocks and will not commit them again. Can I please start contributing to Wikipedia. I have always wanted to do so.

Decline reason:

Wikipedia is not a playground; if you would like to be unblocked, we will need to see convincing evidence that you are in fact here to contribute. I'd like to know what areas you plan to work in, as well as a demonstration of a change you'd like to make following these directions. Hersfold (t/a/c) 20:08, 10 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I am willing to consider unblocking, if you will give an indication of what sort of edits you expect to be doing. Also, you say you have always enjoyed contributing to Wikipedia, which suggests that you had already edited before you used this account. Did you have another account, and if so what account? And, whether you used an account or not, you may like to give some sort of indication what sort of contributions you have made in the past. JamesBWatson (talk) 09:54, 10 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

James is a little more lenient than I ... WP:EBUR is something this editor should read before responding :-) (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 14:37, 10 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry I changed my reason. This is my first account. I would like to start editing. I was not sure what to write and for some reason I put that I had edited before. I have never edited before. Sorry :-).

  • Bwilkins says "James is a little more lenient than I", and my experience is that I am probably more ready than most administrators to give second chances to ex-vandals who say they are willing to change. However, even I would have declined this unblock request under the circumstances. For one thing, you have made no attempt to respond to my request to "give an indication of what sort of edits you expect to be doing", and for another thing your shifting from claiming that you have edited before to saying that you haven't does not encourage anyone to trust your assurances about your intentions. I suggest you consider what Hersfold has pointed you towards before even considering another unblock request. JamesBWatson (talk) 09:21, 11 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
