February 2024[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Apparition11. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to PHP have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Website monitoring. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Hi, Why is it marked as spam or it is not possible to have external links here? There are a lot of external links over there and I can not understand why you remove it?
Regarding the other edit I have done for PHP page, I also can not understand why it is removed as well, because it is all about the tutorial. Boneditor (talk) 13:16, 12 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The link is neither an appropriate external link or reliable source. There may be other inappropriate links, but that would be a reason to remove them, not add more or change them to another. Apparition11 Complaints/Mistakes 13:19, 12 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Ok thanks for clearification. Boneditor (talk) 13:26, 12 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop. If you continue to add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did at Transport Layer Security, you may be blocked from editing. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings.
