A tag has been placed on ControlCircle, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of ControlCircle and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from ControlCircle, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. I'm afraid your article reads like an advert. It would need a complete rewrite, and then would have to demonstrate more evidence of notability and outside reference than it does. Peridon (talk) 19:01, 20 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with ControlCircle. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion. Thank you. Peridon (talk) 19:03, 20 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from pages that you have created yourself, as you did with ControlCircle. If you continue, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Peridon (talk) 19:06, 20 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ok - I have stoped

Ta[edit]

I've got nothing against you or your company - it's the way the article reads. Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia and not a place for adverts. I'm afraid your article falls foul of the policies about this. Articles need to be neutral rather than enthusiastic; they should be 'about' not 'by'. 'Our' and 'we' say 'advert'. Also, notability needs to be established. How are you different from whatever other outfits are in the same game? Can references be supplied - not the 'I use it and it's great' type, the www.whoever.xx type reference. Not blogs, self-published stuff, myspace, aboutus or crunchbase. Solid, independent sources. If your article does go (and I think it will unless you're very quick at rewriting), do try again - following these suggestions. Look at articles for other companies. Do they sound neutral? OK - that may be how to do it. Do they sound like an advert? Tag them for spam. Some do get through the net. And do feel free to ask for advice. People here with a solid list of contributions will usually answer questions politely and will usually give advice. Peridon (talk) 19:20, 20 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ok so I will change the text to be more about 'by' rather than 'about' - is that ok?

Could be - don't forget the notability angle. Put an 'Under Rewrite' at top. Use three ' to make it bold. And use four ~ to sign things on talk pages. Makes life easier. Peridon (talk) 19:26, 20 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I am learning - thanks! Bradomski (talk) 19:31, 20 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Lose that 'incredible'. And don't forget, I'm not the judge and jury. An admin might decide to delete. If they do, you'll get a copy (you may have saved it already - I've got copies of my articles saved at home) and you can then still rewrite and try again. Conflict of interest[edit]

If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors;
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam); and,
  4. avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for businesses. For more details about what, exactly, constitutes a conflict of interest, please see our conflict of interest guidelines. Thank you. Ice Cold Beer (talk) 02:00, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of ControlCircle[edit]

A tag has been placed on ControlCircle, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the article or have a copy emailed to you. Bare[edit]

"Please bare with us." Which naturist venue do you go bare at? But seriously: give up. When your company becomes notable, someone with no COI will write about it here. — RHaworth (Talk | contribs) 17:49, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
