Apologies, I overlooked that François Lesage had died - but the above advice still holds firm. The previous article, although much shorter than your contribution, cited four reliable sources, which you did not. Please feel free to re-submit your version of the article (you can view it here) - but please make sure you provide references and citations to show where you got your information from. Don't completely throw away a referenced article even if the quality is not 100%. I checked a few sentences for copyright violation and didn't see any red flags, which is good as it suggests you wrote it in your own words, so well done. The text just needs to be properly cited and referenced to show that your facts are from solid published sources, as this is important for verifiability purposes to give readers trust and faith in Wikipedia.
