Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Detroit Conrail SAA

[edit]

To help complete your map - I'm not sure how to do this - here is the northern eastern part of the system and then another map showing the entire system:

http://knorek.com/RR/SAA/Maps/Eastside.htm

http://knorek.com/RR/SAA/SAAIndex.htm

After West Detroit, the line continues first as the North Yard Branch, and then as the Sterling Secondary up to Utica. I think the page is a bit outdated, and it's been cut back a bit since the site was last updated. But this is still very much a main line pretty deep into the urban area in Macomb County. You also have the Highland Park Industrial Track and the Belt Line Branch in Detroit, but they are very rarely used. But if you want to show the entire existing system, this map will help you. I have added those now. Would you happen to know if not all which were part of the Detroit Terminal Railroad w/ a source? I believe most of the SAA for Detroit was just that, but cannot confirm. The map is of ROWs and whatever ownership stake. Brondio (talk) 21:05, 31 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Can you repeat that question? Must be a typo in there somwhere. Criticalthinker (talk) 07:23, 11 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Which lines in Detroit were part of the Detroit terminal railroad. All of the SAA ROWS should be on the map now. Brondio (talk) 15:22, 14 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
At this link is a map of the Detroit Terminal Railroad on bottom. I'm not super familiar with its history or its present, quite frankly. Parts of it have been purchased to turn it into a multimodal trail/ Criticalthinker (talk) 05:54, 16 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Here's an even better link from the state's open data initiative showing the rail lines in the state as of 2022. You can see that there is a bit more on the East Side - including that the spur through the I-94 Industrial Park actually connects back to the North Yard - than you've shown.
