Buddha Monk Biography

Growing up in the cold, cruel streets of Crown Heights, Brooklyn brought him into a lasting friendship with the man who bestowed his name upon him, a man who would become as close as a blood brother Old Dirty Bastard a.k.a ODB.

Having been together since the age of 12 years old, they rapidly learned that music was a common bond. I would be DJing and Dirty would show up & start rhyming. Then he would take the turntables and I would get on the mic. One day when Dirty was in the studio, I began giving him production pointers and it was working out.

At that point RZA proclaimed that Buddha was to work on Dirty's album thus carving out his first major notch into his dream. Having appeared in videos such as "Whoo Ha" Remix by Busta Rhymes, "CREAM" by Wu-Tang Clan, Cant Stop Wont Stop Remix by Young Gunz & Chingy, & "Gotta Take It Easy" by Mad Lion, just to name a few. Add production for names like, ODB, RZA, Mad Lion, Biz Markie, Black Rob, Bone Crusher and more. Rapping features for ODB, RZA, Method Man, Twista, Ghostface & Brand Nubian as well as other esteemed colleagues.

Not to mention his own videos, Spark Somebody Up & Gots Like Come On Through, and residing on such record labels as Edel American, Nature Sounds, TVT, Sure Shot, Dirt Magirt, Elektra and Profile prove that he is an established unstoppable force to be reckon with in this day and age.

With a rareness barely seen today Buddha has made his mark. Having worked with over 250 artist in the Brooklyn area alone & producing over 10,000 tracks he is proud to include singing, rapping, producing, writing & recording to his repertoire. Proving that music is versatile, he classifies his self as unorthodox, a chameleon, someone who can change their style no matter what and claim a multi-status throne.

Buddha Monk Management

In 2006 Buddha Monk decided to found its own Management Company and chosed Geneva, Switzerland as headquarters. Together with Supermodel Dji Dieng ([1] - [2]), Buddha Monk is exclusively managed world-wide by the same management; this as well as the legendary musician Supermax ([3]) with his unforgettable song: Lovemachine.

Life Ball 2008

Buddha Monk participated at the prestigious and most important HIV Prevention Charity Event of the world, the LIFE BALL ([4], together with Sharon Stone, Kim Cattrell (Sex and the City), Worldmodel Linda Evangelista, Worldmodel Markus Schenkenberg, Supermodel Dji Dieng, musicians as Debbie Harry (Blondie) and Supermax. For Buddha Monk it is important to engage himself for social projects, and he spread the message of HIV Prevention also in his songs at the Life Ball 2008.

Dji Dieng

I've tagged Dji Dieng as possibly not being notable enough for an article, per the criterai at WP:BIO. There need to be some reliable secondary sources i.e. newspaper or magazine articles that were written about the model. I did a quick search [9] and found not much, so there may not be any. Obviously in Australian research enginges you could not find much, as she only performed in editorials of OYSTER MAGAZINE Australia.

But if you do a world-wide search on Google, the results will be different.
