Information icon Hello, I'm 10mmsocket. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Birmingham, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. 10mmsocket (talk) 13:45, 2 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, you may be blocked from editing. You cannot add weather data without a supporting reference. The data you added at Tiberias was not included in the given reference. Please stop doing this. 10mmsocket (talk) 14:21, 2 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The only change I made at Tiberias was adding mean temperature data which is a simple calculation. There is no need for a source for a simple addition and division equation. Thanks. Burtania1 (talk) 14:33, 2 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It is not given as part of the reference. So don't add it. See WP:SYNTH 10mmsocket (talk) 14:35, 2 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Routine calculations

WP:CALC
Routine calculations do not count as original research, provided there is consensus among editors that the results of the calculations are correct, and a meaningful reflection of the sources. Basic arithmetic, such as adding numbers, converting units, or calculating a person's age, is almost always permissible. Burtania1 (talk) 14:42, 2 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Where is that consensus? Where does it state that mean daily temperature is based on the formula you state? 10mmsocket (talk) 14:59, 2 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
From the Australian government Bureau of Meteorology:
http://www.bom.gov.au/climate/maps/averages/temperature/
"Mean temperatures are calculated by adding the daily maximum temperature and the daily minimum temperature, and dividing by two." Burtania1 (talk) 15:05, 2 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. 10mmsocket (talk) 15:07, 2 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Just leave the column out. It's that simple. 10mmsocket (talk) 14:36, 2 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
