Welcome![edit]

Hello, CM1.8A32, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was Andrew Blackman, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! Hello Drmies,
Thank you for the message. I must inform you that I made additional revisions even after your changes. I was unaware at the time of how quickly changes can be made. I will continue to review Wikipedia's tools and manuals to improve my contributions. CM1.8A32 (talk) 02:00, 30 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

July 2022[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Shadrach Dingle, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. – DarkGlow09:09, 1 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello DarkGlow,
Thank you for the notice. I will make sure to be mindful next time. CM1.8A32 (talk) 20:52, 1 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did to Honolulu County, Hawaii, without good reason. They should have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. I understand that the spelling may be common in some areas, but the longstanding name for the article does not include the apostrophe. If you would like to start a discussion on this change, you should go to WP:RM Cerebral726 (talk) 12:29, 14 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Use of ʻokina and kahakō in Hawaiʻi-related articles[edit]

Hello,

As already mentioned above, please do not move articles just to include ʻokina and kahakō even if the article title does not match the correct Hawaiian spelling. Editing the article body to include ʻokina and kahakō where appropriate is otherwise generally preferred; you may want to consult MOS:HAWAII for more details. ArbCom 2022 Elections voter message[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2022 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:56, 29 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

CN tag[edit]

I've fixed the citation needed tag you added to Kauai. You can add this tag to an article in the future by typing out {{cn}} in the source editor, not the visual editor. Thanks! TheManInTheBlackHat (Talk) 19:51, 7 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Mahalo Nui! CM1.8A32 (talk) 20:01, 7 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
On a side note, I'm very new to this but doesn't the paragraph on chickens seem kind of odd that it's under Places of Interest? I cant remember, but the last time I reviewed Wikipedia's citation expectations, it said that resources should not require a fee or a subscription, is this still in effect? Such concern would be the case with 35. CM1.8A32 (talk) 20:23, 7 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
