Sigantures

[edit]

As a courtesy to other editors, it is a Wikipedia guideline to sign your posts on talk pages, user talk pages, and WikiProject pages. To do so, simply add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your comments. Your user name or IP address (if you are not logged in) and the date will be then be automatically added along with a timestamp when you save your comment. Signing your comments helps people to find out who said something and provides them with a link to your user/talk page (for further discussion). For further info, read Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines. Thank you. — Chris53516 (Talk) 16:57, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Gun Nut

[edit]

I am a gun owner who created the Gun Nut article because of that terms constant use by Wikipedians and the public in general as if it is NOT an OFFENSIVE SLUR, which it surely is. The idea was spawned out of this attack on me for posting a video of myself at the shooting range. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Administrators%27_noticeboard/Incidents#User:BillyTFried:_Threatening_Behavior.3F --BillyTFried 21:30, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi this is an automated message sent to all editors who posted to [[1]] between 07/04/07 and 07/15/07. Due to an editorial error, the Afd wasn't properly logged for all of the usual 5 day period. I have now relisted it. Mike33 05:29, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AFD Log

[edit]

They used to be added at the bottom. I use an automatic tool which adds the templates and creates the necessary articles. Obviously it was created before the change.--Crossmr 17:42, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Do you think it would be a good idea for people who have already submitted arguments to the deletion of this article to wait a few days and see if new arguments might come up for or against. I think everyone who has submitted an point of view in this debate is well understood -- even if they don't agree with each other :) XinJeisan 04:19, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If that is the case that arguments evolve, I can just view this as practice for when I go back to school in the fall in my critical thinking and arguments skills :) XinJeisan 04:54, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Philostrate AfD problem

[edit]

Hey, Calgary. I'm just wondering if we could wrap up the Philostrate AfD issue. I understand the complications, but I submitted the article for the Did you Know section of the main page, and I really need that AfD taken off of the top. Could you get that taken care of? Maybe ask an admin how to fix it? Wrad 22:17, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Species integration nominated for deletion

[edit]

As someone who has commented on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Most ancient common ancestor, you are invited to comment on another article by the same author which I just nominated for deletion. The same author coined a new article Species integration which similar theme with two completely irrelevant references, after the 'most ancient common ancestor' article was deleted. I removed these two irrelevant references, and commented on these on the Talk:Species integration page.

The new nomination/discussion page is at: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Species integration.

Thanks. Fred Hsu 01:51, 5 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Michael Howe (headmaster) nominated for deletion

You might like to look at this given further expalnation of references. Tallum 02:53, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Spells in Harry potter

It is currently under a deletion review. Therequiembellishere 17:14, 18 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy during afd

[edit]

I removed the speedy you had placed on List of US student governments, now at AfD. It's usually not a good idea to do this except for copyvio or libel. It often leads to a deletion review, and then that greatly complicates the discussion. If it's headed for deletion, as seems likely, a few more days does no harm. DRV

Taser controversy AfD

[edit]

Thank you for your input on the recent AFD on Taser controversy. The editors involved with that article would like to continue the discussion on how to proceed and invite you to join the discussion at Talk:Taser controversy. The latest discussions include Talk:Taser controversy#re:Globalise and Talk:Taser controversy#Renaming this article?. Flatscan (talk) 02:05, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated the above page for deletion here, back in 2007 you participated in another AfD on the same page here the result of which was to delete. Just thought I should let you know. Codf1977 (talk) 17:47, 15 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is List of unusual personal names. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of unusual personal names (5th nomination). Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:06, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
