Your AIV report

[edit]

Re: Mamadou Wague: that edit with the lowercase letters is from five days ago, and it is not clear that it counts as vandalism. See WP:VANDAL. Also, don't expect an admin to block if you haven't even given the editor a warning. Semi-protection is a last resort, not a first. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 21:34, 6 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hurricane Sandy

[edit]

Removing content isn't a minor edit, and "I think most people know this" isn't a good reason to remove. More people certainly know it's a tropical cyclone and is creeping up the East Coast, but we mention that, too. Sandy is a ambiguous name; personally, I know more guys named Sandy than girls and, as I explained on the Talk Page, "Frankenstorm" is a potentially confusingly masculine name. It certainly isn't "important" information, but it's not worthless. InedibleHulk (talk) 22:58, 29 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia:Non-free content policy and guideline

[edit]

Please do not place or replace any non-free images to any pages except for actual articles, as you did at User:Calgaryivan/sandbox. Such use is a clear violation of point number 9 of our policy concerning the use of non-free images. Continuing to do so can be viewed as disruptive behaviour and you may be blocked from editing.
