Disambiguation pages

[edit]

Please note that disambiguation pages like Jennifer are meant to help readers find a specific existing article quickly and easily. For that reason, they have guidelines that are different from articles. From the Wikipedia:Disambiguation dos and don'ts you should:

  • Only list articles that readers might reasonably be looking for
  • Use short sentence fragment descriptions, with no punctuation at the end
  • Use exactly one navigable link ("blue link") in each entry that mentions the title being disambiguated
  • Only add a "red link" if used in existing articles, and include a "blue link" to an appropriate article
  • Do not pipe links (unless style requires it) – keep the full title of the article visible
  • Don't list every article containing the title (WP:PARTIAL)

Jennifer Juniper is not an ambiguous term and is not likely to be confused with simply Jennifer. The 'All pages with titles containing Jennifer' link is included in the See also section to take care of partial title matches. Leschnei (talk) 00:04, 12 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, sorry.I donate and use Wikipedia but should have known better than to try an edit myself. I was on the Jennifer (name) page and noticed no one had mentioned Jennifer Juniper as a reason for the jump in the name's popularity in the 70s. I then went in and got jumped around pages and only realised afterwards. I'll try to stay firmly on the other side of the rope and try not to touch and break anything else:) Thanks for your work on all this. It is appreciated. No worries - this was intended merely as an FYI, and I certainly don't want to discourage you from editing. The proper place to put "Jennifer Juniper" would be Jennifer (given name), if you can find any decent references for its effect on the name's popularity. Here are some helpful links in case you're interested in doing more editing. Leschnei (talk) 13:17, 12 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
