Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Calvitienaissante. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page HRnetGroup, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. ~ JASWE (talk) 08:17, 26 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, thank you for your concerns regarding the page I have recently edited. I am new to Wikipedia and am still learning the rules for ensuring that pages are amended with neutrality. I appreciate your advice and next steps on how to proceed from here. Thank you very much! Calvitienaissante (talk) 08:49, 26 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, for starter, declaring whether you have a Conflict of interest with HRnetGroup will be good. I noted your first three edits is to a business and updating details about the business. This likely indicate you are somehow related to the business. If you are, please declare your relationship with the business accordingly to the guidelines (See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure). Regardless whether are you specifically assigned/paid to update the article or just in the employment of the business, you are still considered related to the business. If you like to edit anything related to the business, you will need to make an edit request to update the article. This is to ensure neutrality of your proposed edits and there are references to verify your edits.
However, if you do not have a conflict of interest, a declaration of "I am not related to HRnetGroup." or similar will suffice. You can then edit normally as per Wikipedia's guidelines.
