User talk:Calwells
Editors, would it be possible to create a disambiguation page for Cal Wells. I am another Cal Wells and am in finance/investments. It regularly confuses people who assume incorrectly that we are related, I'm from Mississippi and I guess everyone thinks NASCAR and MS are inexorably linked. It further complicates things when I'm Wiki'd/Googled and this Cal comes up. I wanted to include links that would help confirm my identity: http://www.crunchbase.com/person/cal-wells http://www.linkedin.com/pub/cal-wells/5/49/328 It wouldn't be an issue beyond an inconvenience, but evidently the other Cal Wells has made very poor investments and has "bankrupted his team" http://www.topix.com/forum/nascar/michael-waltrip/TMUB2VIBH31U7HQT4 which as you can imagine for someone who is a VC/Finance guy this is not the best thing to have associated with my online presence. Thank you for all you guys do and please feel free to contact me directly at calwells@gmail.com if I can be of any assistance!

Request for Disambiguation
[edit]Editors,
I am begging to you to Disambiguate me from the Nascar guy. Repeatedly in news articles I'm being incorrectly referenced as a Nascar driver when in reality we are two different people. I work in Venture Capital and Finance, he races cars around a track, these are two very different professions.
Thank you for all you guys do!
Incorrectly referred to as NASCAR driver, undoubtedly because of Wiki. http://talkingbaws.com/2013/10/15/memphis-grizzlies-owner-robert-pera-makes-bold-1-on-1-challenge-to-michael-jordan/

- I have 100% sympathy with you: this must be very frustrating. Disambiguation pages are normally only for situations where there is more than one relevant Wikipedia article, so as long as there is only one article about a person called "Cal Wells", there should not be a disambiguation page for it. Nevertheless, I will create a disambiguation page, and explain on its talk page why I am making an exception. We can then hope that the page sticks. However, since it will not be compliant with Wikipedia guidelines, unfortunately if anyone objects to it I can't guarantee that it won't be deleted. If that happens, please feel welcome to contact me on my talk page, and I will see what else I can do to help. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 09:46, 11 March 2014 (UTC)
