Hello there Tasty?

Curiosity prompts me to ask by what exact authority are you the arbiter of what is and isn’t correct? I’d like to know a bit about your credentials. The Link to the Earth Agents site is both valid and informative. If you bother to look through it you will see that it is as advertised providing valuable information to the emerging super hero and creating a neutral place where such folks can see and be seen. It has been in operation several years and thus has stood the test of time. I agree that there are several sites on line that are little more than look at me wannabe hang outs where the blind lead the blinder and more gullible. The Earth Agents Site isn’t one of them. It has been set up by a semi retired hero that was in operation before this present craze or Wiki pages for that matter was ever heard of. In addition I am not the only one that keeps adding it back in which should go toward establishing its credibility as a proper entry and resource. I’d advise you to investigate before you delete.

Sincerely Captain Spiffy

External link guidelines
Reasons this site violates the external link guidelines
1. Earth Agents E-mail Address - Links to social networking sites (such as MySpace),[1] chat or discussion forums/groups (such as Yahoo! Groups), USENET newsgroups or e-mail lists.
2. Link to Secure section of Site - Links to sites that require payment or registration to view the relevant content, unless the site itself is the subject of the article, or the link is a convenience link to a citation.
3. Earth Agents Public Chat#1 - Links to social networking sites (such as MySpace),[1] chat or discussion forums/groups (such as Yahoo! Groups), USENET newsgroups or e-mail lists.
4. Earth Agents Message Board - Links to social networking sites (such as MySpace),[1] chat or discussion forums/groups (such as Yahoo! Groups), USENET newsgroups or e-mail lists.
In short, Wikipedia is not a place for people who need to be seen. The external links section is there to allow expansion of the content. This site has no content. Its a place for real life superheroes to get together online. You are more than welcome to place all of these links in open directory (dmoz) and a single link to open directory. As a matter of formality You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. TastyPoutine talk (if you dare) 19:26, 13 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again,

The main reason I kept re adding it was to provide a sane alternative top the so called heroes network that you do seem to approve of. How can this be when the reasons you list for disapproving the earth agents site also apply to the heroes network. As you seem to like your list numbered I will reply in kind.

1. The earth agents e mail address. It isn’t a social networking site . It is a e mail service that doesn’t trace back to the home IP address of the sender thus protecting a hero’s identity.

2. Link to the secure section of the site. No payment of any kind is required for this section. The reason it does exist is that certain devices a RLSH hero might use are potentially dangerous in the hands of kids etc and shouldn’t be visible on a otherwise open site viewable by the public.

3. Earth Agents Chat #1 This is provided as a place not for social networking but as a on line meeting place where those that need help can converse in real time with those that may be able to provide it. It Provides safety for both the potential victim and the hero while also avoiding the real world disruption of costumed individuals appearing in public and then trying to maintain a confidential conversation.

4. Earth Agent Message Board If any site with a message board is against WIKI rules why is the Hero’s network listed when they also have a board and feature it in their site blurb. As this site also features chat rooms and social network listings it too should be deleted in the interests of fairness. But social networking is part and parcel of the RLSH movement on line and any listing in WIKI needs to list it. If you are going to decide who is and who isn’t a responsible individual or group I direct you toward this link http://rationreality.com/2007/07/05/real-life-superheroes-tothian-strikes-back/ He is the so called leader and the person behind the heroes network. Run a search on him and you’ll turn up all manner of interesting drivel. Just about any real life super hero site out there has a board and a listing of heroes. If you ban 1 you should ban or delete all of them in order to maintain impartiality.

5. Not to be overly nit picky but you never did answer my question as to who you are and why I need to defer to you as a WIKI arbiter. I would really like an answer on this one if I’m not to lump you in with the usual run of self important internet trolls. But then as far as the RLSH movement goes, except for a few diehards like as not this is yet another internet fad that the general public doesn’t know or care about.

Sincerely Captain Spiffy
