Photo of Vic Reeves's paintings
[edit]The photo File:Vic Reeves artwork on display at Saatchi Gallery London in 2010.jpg is likely to be a copyright violation unless you know Vic Reeves has published his paintings with a Creative Commons licence. JMiall₰ 16:40, 4 February 2015 (UTC)
Ah, I wondered about that. I don't know if he has a Creative Commons licence, but if they were displayed in a public gallery and people were allowed to photograph them, does that mean anything? Caro89 (talk) 21:33, 4 February 2015 (UTC)
- You should look at c:Commons:Freedom of panorama. Just because photography was allowed doesn't then mean that the photographer can publish the photograph without it being a copyright infringement. If you'd like a 3rd opinion and to learn about a new part of Wikipedia you could list it at WP:PUI and see what they say. JMiall₰ 23:32, 4 February 2015 (UTC)
I'll remove the image now. Thank you for letting me know, I won't make that mistake again! Caro89 (talk) 13:02, 5 February 2015 (UTC)
