Sir, why don't you read the Wikipedia:How to edit a page, Wikipedia:Manual of Style, etc., to see how articles are done. Your articles are improperly done. The contian items that don't need to be in there. They are not entered correctly.

Halliburton[edit]

Why did you put this in the Halliburton article?

"*September 2005, Halliburton was granted an exclusive no-bid contract to rebuild New Orleans after the Hurricane Katrina disaster."

It makes you look like a vandal.

Because it's a fact. If you think I'm a vandal, please substantiate your claim (please provide evidence that I damaged something).

Are you a fan of Haliburton's great construction prowess or are you actively monitoring every Haliburton thread? If the latter, please explain why.

3) You entry in the Halliburton article implies that they will "re-build New Orleans", this is a lie, a falsehood, not-factual, this is called "vandalism" here at Wikipedia.

The US Government has made it clear that Haliburton has been given an "exclusive no-bid contract" to rebuild New Orleans. If you have evidence to the contrary, please substantiate it.

- - What you do IS my business if you are a representative of WikiPedia! Don't take my words out of context and please answer my question with a factual YES or NO answer. Don't dance around the question by talking about other organizations and what contracts they received. Let me say it again in PRIMORDIAL ENGLISH: DOES HALIBURTON HAVE A CONTRACT TO REBUILD NEW ORLEANS? YES OR NO? You have 2 options, YES or NO. It's a very simple question. Why are you nitpicking and turning this into such a big deal?

- STOP erasing entires! It is considered improper to erase items in discussion with other memebers.
- What I do is none of your business. As a said before, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE.
- What evidence do YOU have that they received such a contract? CITE YOUR SOURCE! KBR received a contract to:
  - "....to do emergency repairs at Gulf Coast naval and Marine facilities that were battered by Hurricane Katrina."

Not re-build New Orleans! Do you have something that says otherwise?

Learn to communicate with other users[edit]

Talk pages are a key feature of Wikipedia, offering the ability to discuss articles and other issues with other Wikipedians.

Talk pages[edit]

If you want to ask a question about an article, or you have a concern or comment, you can put a note in the article's talk page. You do that by clicking the "discussion" tab at the top of the page. Don't worry if the link shows up in red; it's ok to create the talk page if it doesn't already exist.

When you post a new comment, put it at the bottom of the talk page. The exception is that if you're responding to someone else's remarks, put your comment below theirs. You can indent your comment by typing a colon (:) at the beginning of a line.

You should sign your comments by typing ~~~ for just your username, or ~~~~ for your username and a time signature (see the example discussion below). When you save the page, your signature will be inserted automatically. Most of us use time signatures because it makes following discussions much easier.

You can get a username by creating an account (it's free). If you don't have an account, or if you have one but haven't logged in, your computer's IP address is used instead.

User talk pages[edit]

Every Wikipedian has a user talk page, on which other Wikipedians can leave messages. If someone has left you a message, you will see a note saying "You have new messages", with a link to your user talk page.

You can reply in either of two ways. One is to put a message on the user talk page of the person you're replying to. The other is to put your reply on your own talk page beneath the original message. Both are common on Wikipedia; however, be aware that replying on your own talk page runs the risk that your reply won't be seen, if the user doesn't look at your talk page again.

Indenting[edit]

Indenting can improve the layout of a discussion considerably, making it much easier to read. A standard practice is to indent your reply one more level deep than the person you are replying to.

There are several ways of indenting in Wikipedia:

Plain indentations[edit]

The simplest way of indenting is to place a colon (:) at the beginning of a line. The more colons you put, the further indented the text will be. A newline (pressing Enter or Return) marks the end of the indented paragraph.

For example:

This is aligned all the way to the left.

:This is indented slightly.

::This is indented more.

is shown as:

This is aligned all the way to the left.

This is indented slightly.

This is indented more.

Bullet points[edit]

You can also indent using bullets, usually used for lists. To insert a bullet, use an asterisk (*). Similar to indentation, more asterisks in front of a paragraph means more indentation.

Numbered items[edit]

You can also create numbered lists. For this, use the number sign or hash symbol (#). This is usually used for polls and voting. Again, you can affect the indent of the number by the number of #'s you use.

Also, signing your message off is done by:

Writing ~~~ for the name (try2BEEhelpful), or

Writing ~~~~~ for the date only (19:09, 12 Dec 2003 (UTC)).

You should usually sign with both name and date but votes are often signed with names only.

Whew![edit]

I finally found something I could type on. I thought this was a regular like encyclopedia just on the internet. I was hoping you would at least have a simple message board for articles not included on this site where someone not computer smart could just ask a question..if answered fine if not fine. I am no editor or web designer and don't have loads of time to take a course on how to give what little information I may have on the subject.

I heard about a book called "The Officer's Wife" by Michael Fleeman and wanted to find out more about the author and the facts about the murder discussed in the book. The only thing I found was the book for sale on Amazon.com and that I got from googling. I don't care if this is the right place to ask this question ...I was just was filled with relief that after an hour of trying to find a place to ask the question I finally found it!!If it is answered fine ...if not fine!....This site is great if the article you are looking for is here ....but good gracious if not you are bogged down with closing one drawer and another opens effect. I am glad to just to input the question!....Whew!...I'm outta here now! Geez ..no I'm not...there is no send button! I hate this site!
