Films Newsletter
Hey man, how's it going? I finished the current draft, but I'm also having Girolamo Savonarola take a look at it before it's sent off. Let me know if you can send it out, if not I don't mind doing it. If you do, it could be sent out tomorrow or Sunday. Happy editing! --Nehrams2020 (talk) 00:26, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
- I should be able to send it out, just tell me when. I'm doing okay, just tired, how about you? Oooh, it seems I've missed your wiki-anniversary, happy wiki birthday! Cbrown1023 talk 01:04, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
- The newsletter is now ready, you can send it whenever you like. I'm doing okay, these last few days I've finally had a break from school after multiple tests/papers due, and I finally go to catch up on some GA Sweeps reviews. Yeah, two years came pretty quick, but it looks like you have yours on Wikipedia in just a few days! Thanks again, I really appreciate it. --Nehrams2020 (talk) 03:59, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
- No problem. :-) Sending it out now. Cbrown1023 talk 18:27, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

You are invited!
New York City Meetup
|
In the afternoon, we will hold a session dedicated to meta:Wikimedia New York City activities, and have salon-style group discussions on Wikipedia and the other Wikimedia projects (see the last meeting's minutes).
Well also make preparations for our exciting Wikipedia Takes Manhattan event, a free content photography contest for Columbia University students planned for Friday March 28 (about 2 weeks after our meeting).
In the evening, we'll share dinner and chat at a local restaurant, and (weather permitting) hold a late-night astronomy event at Columbia's telescopes.
You can add or remove your name from the New York City Meetups invite list at Wikipedia:Meetup/NYC/Invite list.
You're also invited to subscribe to the public Wikimedia New York City mailing list, which is a great way to receive timely updates.
This has been an automated delivery because you were on the invite list. BrownBot (talk) 02:33, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

My request for bureaucratship
Dear Cbrown1023, thank you for taking part in my RfB. As you may know, it was not passed by bureaucrats.
I would, however, like to thank you for taking the time to voice your support, despite concerns cited by the opposition. Although RfA/B isn't really about a person, but more about the community, I was deeply touched and honoured by the outpouring of support and interest in the discussion. I can only hope that you don't feel your opinion was not considered enough - bureaucrats have to give everyone's thoughts weight.
I also hope that the results of this RfB lead to some change in the way we approach RfBs, and some thought about whether long-entrenched standards are a good thing in our growing and increasingly heterogenous community.
I was a little miserable after the results came out, so I'm going to spread the love via dancing hippos. As you do. :)
I remain eager to serve you as an administrator and as an editor. If at any point you see something problematic in my actions, please do not hesitate to call me out. ~ Riana ⁂ 11:41, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
