You may request a change of name and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions other than promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:
Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page.

It has been pointed out to me that the username I chose is inappropriate and appears to be only used for advertising. This was not the intention at all but the new username represents my location and the interest in folk music I represent the company that owns Black Crow Records. I altered the page to reflect the correct legal information for Black Crow Records as it had been Hijacked by someone, I made clear that this was the case in my submission note. Black Crow Records is owned by Celtic Music adn has been since the late 1980's / early 1990's. The submission was not advertising in any way it was linking the data on the page to the correct owners. Misrepresentation of the owner does not help users. If you review the full history of the wiki page the edits I made were in line with the original page content as first submitted except Celtic Music was described as "CM". The user that blocked me did so without justification
Decline reason:
"Yorkshirefolk" suggests a group of people, and as such is unacceptable as a username; please choose something that indicates a specific individual is exclusively operating this account(your real name is not required). Please review conflict of interest and paid editing and explain how you will edit consistent with these policies in the future, as well as describe any topics unrelated to your conflict of interest that you want to edit about as a general, individual contributor. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 02:35, 1 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
